On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: A bottle of Bowmore
This Christmas we’re asking you to help us select the Cask 88 ‘Scottish Distillery of the Year’, as part of our ‘The 12 Drams of Christmas’ campaign. Bowmore distillery is one of our 12 chosen distilleries, find out more about the campaign and how to vote for your favourites. Click Here.
Why do we love Bowmore?
The Bowmore Distillery, established by a local merchant in 1779, mid-way along the southern shore of Loch Indaal on the island of Islay, is one of the oldest surviving distilleries in Scotland. Also of note, is the fact that Bowmore is one of the very few distilleries that is still making malt ‘in-house’. It’s quayside location and dedication to onsite storage is seen by many as key to its unique flavour and character.
A superb Official Bottling by Bowmore. This fine 38-Year-Old Bowmore is presented in a wooden chest case and is individually numbered.
