Distillery: Ben Nevis
Hewn from the ancient rocks and springs of the Highlands; matured in a Bourbon cask of rich American Oak and painstakingly hand- selected as a jewel in the Highland crown, our 19-year old Ben Nevis single malt carries all the regal stature of the mountain itself. With a surprisingly lively and long spicy finish, building on woody and tropical notes that belie its northerly origins, The Highlander is truly Scotland the Brave, the bold and the beautiful, in an exquisitely bespoke bottle.
The Golf Widow
A dash of spring water reveals the defiant spiciness of this initially delicate Auchentoshan 1993 single malt, with hidden depths of tobacco smoke enticingly hinted at by its cask-enhanced golden hue. Hand-sourced from the verdant golfing country of the Scottish Lowlands, The Golf Widow’s fragrant top notes of apple and pear pay homage to the region’s majestic greens from the comfort of the 19th hole – a sophisticated and spirited companion enjoyed by those who dare to do things differently.
The High Drive
With the impact of gunshot drifting on the sea breeze, The High Drive, our standout Bowmore 1989 single cask Islay, evokes its rarefied island heritage with every enchanting mouthful. This ‘Queen of the Hebrides’ binds sweet, smoke and salt together with the addition of antique savoury notes when water is added. Only eight active distilleries remain in the region, making The High Drive a strong investment tip – if you can resist opening and pouring a ‘wee dram’ that is.
The Tight Line
We’ve cast far and wide across legendary Scotch whisky territory in our search to bring you Speyside’s finest: a simply breathtaking and unique expression of a classic: our single cask, Glenlivet 1981. The Tight Line is the result of over 220 years of heritage combined with 34 years of alchemy between whisky and wood. This unique combination has infused a sweet, subtle, floral complexity and long, warming finish of Bourbon-scented oak, worthy of prize status in this, and indeed any other, collection.
