As we approach our 10th anniversary year, and we continue to grow larger than ever before, it is fitting that our celebrations and collaborations have scaled up accordingly.
We had the honour this year of sponsoring the Royal Gallery at The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. The Tattoo is a historic and globally renowned event rooted in the heart of Scottish culture and a premier event in the cultural calendar. Encircling the Esplanade of the iconic Edinburgh Castle the event not only gave us the opportunity to increase our exposure to visitors and VIP guests but also to entertain and host some of our dearest friends and clients in this most noble of surroundings.
It was a distinct personal pleasure to welcome some of our closest collaborators and friends to a special evening at the Royal Gallery. We enjoyed a delectable dinner celebrating the finest Scottish cuisine as well as being treated to private performances by the musicians before the main show.
I was hugely proud to lead our guests into the Royal Box for the stellar 2023 Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo performance “Stories”. Reflecting on how far we have come and how far we can go further, as we settled into our seats I was struck by the poignancy of the theme for the show.
“Stories” celebrated the limitless forms of expression that we can use to help tell one another stories. As a Scotch whisky company that always places great emphasis on telling the unique story that every single cask has this sentiment resonates strongly.
The limitless diversity of stories and the limitless diversity of ways to tell those stories ensures that we will continue to be whisky storytellers for many decades to come.
The performance was intensely moving and visually arresting. We had plenty to discuss back inside enjoying some Cask 88 Unfiltered single cask whiskies before the final close of the evening.
We were very proud to present each of our guests with a special bottle of single cask Glen Spey 13 years old , created especially for the evening.
I’d like to extend a massive thank you to the whole team at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and to all our guests for such a spectacular and special occasion.
